From News Blaze

by Paolo Signorelli

A short while back we brought to center stage a scandalous swindle
perpetrated against the Social Security Administration by the neurologist Neal L. Pugach and his patient Rebecca White (http://newsblaze.com/story/20100524082939zzzz.nb/topstory.html).

In that article we outlined how Dr. Pugach initially signed three different documents certifying that his patient proved to be "OK", according to more than a dozen different tests and exams, (with the single exception of a thyroid dysfunction); later he wrote another document hiding the results of all the tests and exams performed, declaring the patient "Disabled", (to let Ms. White pocket the Social Security benefits).

All of the media, American and otherwise, are talking about Amanda Knox’s third Christmas spent in prison: We’re forgetting that it’s the 6th one for Carlo Parlanti… but no one’s talking about that…

Recently there’s been a media circus around the Perugia case. I’ve been dealing with Italian imprisonment issues abroad for years and I think I’ve got a pretty fair idea of most of the procedures; but now I’m involved in the scandalous case concerning Carlo Parlanti and it’s taught me a lot.

From News Blaze

Now is the time to break that "wall of rubber" that surrounds our "Prisoners of Silence". We must bring to light the real reasons which many of our fellow Italians, see the cases "Ammirabile", "Nardini", "R.E." (for privacy reasons we do not make the names public), "Parlanti", as well as others, find themselves alone, locked in a cell, removed far from their families, from their homes, from their homeland. Often these reasons are attributed to made-up and false evidence; illegal acts such as counterfeiting documents and tests. The foreign states where our fellow citizens are imprisoned, do not see it. Or perhaps, they do not want to see it. As citizens of a civilized country, our beloved Italy, which is always been the cradle of civilization, we have the obligation to denounce these outrages acts. We have a duty to open the eyes to the governments that do not enforce justice.

From Newsblaze

by Antonella Ricciardi

The United States, a country with a justice system of ironclad rules, occasionally punishes over-zealously; but even in the U.S, sometimes there does not appear to be equal justice under the law.

In fact, although the percentage of false allegations of violence is high (often made for the sake of obtaining financial gain), we almost always turn a blind eye to them, probably to safeguard the true victims…but what can be said about the conniving doctors?

Dr. Neil Pugach
